Bored and impatient because her mer-family only seems to summon her when they need her healing abilities, fourteen-year-old India Finch decides to ignore her grandfather and visit them without being called--but when she and her mermaid friends decide to entertain themselves by combining their powers the result is a disaster that exposes the existence of the merpeople to human eyes.
