Spending the summer in Maine with her grandfather, fourteen-year-old India Finch is still exploring her new healing powers as one of the merpeople, and still trying deal with the conflicts between the two Mer tribes--so when she and her friends find out that the Fire tribe is searching for a powerful weapon called Neptune's trident which they will use against humans, they decide that they had better find it first.
