| Summary |
"In post-World War 1 England, a young soldier and a young war volunteer team up as "adventurers." Out of work and out of money, the two try to find a way to earn money in a war-torn country. Soon after advertising themselves for hire in a newspaper, Tommy Beresford and his friend "Tuppence" are lured into trying to solve a mystery about the identity of a woman who was aboard the Lusitania ship when it sunk. The duo seeks out information about her identity and pieces together her story bit by bit, and travel around the country to seek out the truth of her disappearance. These adventurers almost get more adventure than they were prepared for, and their quest to solve the mystery takes them trekking through cities, facing mysterious and dangerous witnesses, and risking their lives in pursuit of the solution.
