Summary |
ℓEnglish: ℓAmong the Ephemera documents we can highlght the wonderful collection of paipáis (little oriental-style fans) from the first half of the twentieth century. Despite their practical and eminently advertising purpose, we find many of them exquisitely illustrated, as a nice reflection of the aesthetic trends, standards of beauty and fashion of the time. ℓIn particular, this album with female figures and portraits. There are women represented in clothing from different eras such as ancient Egypt or the French fashion of the 18th century, a woman in a Japanese kimono or Spanish women in regional costumes, as well portraits of women posing in the style of American actresses of the thirties and forties, or portraits of film and theater actresses, primarily American: Gina Lollobrigida, Ava Gardner, Irene Ware, Vivian Austin, Arlene Dhal, Piper Laurie ... and many of them, of exquisite quality. |
