Summary "The primary goal of this research was to evaluate the suitability of several novel solvents and solvent mixtures as potential flexographic washout solutions. These washout solutions are used to develop flexographic printing plates by removing uncured photopolymer from the plate surface ... Flexography, or "flexo printing" as it is sometimes called, is a method of printing which employs photopolymeric printing plates to apply rapidly drying inks to a given substrate ... These experimental results illustrate the capability of the methyl laurate/methyl caprate blend to process photopolymers effectively."
