Summary This series covers America's history from the age of Pre-Columbian Native Americans, through European discovery, colonization, independence, the forging of a young nation, and the settling of the American frontier. Students will look at the history of the United States from a new perspective, as they explore the events that have shaped modern American society. Professor Linwood Thompson is the visual aid for these lectures--they are delivered in period costumes and as characters who illustrate the life of their times. With his firm grasp of the details of historical epochs, Professor Thompson's characters allow students to sit back, relax, and learn enjoyably--despite the magnitude of material presented.
