The integration of Geographic Information Systems into archaeology has provided a new tool for researchers to use in their quest for answers to spatial problems. This project applies the new technology to attempt to create an estimate for the amount of land that was capable of being irrigated by the Hohokam canal systems in the Salt River Valley.
