Spanish: ℓGustavo Adolfo Bécquer (1836-1870), es considerado una de las figuras más representativas de los movimientos romántico y posromántico en España. Poeta y narrador, su obra más conocida son las Rimas y leyendas. Aunque en vida ya alcanzó cierta fama, fue póstumamente cuando alcanzó el prestigio que hoy se le reconoce. La publicación de la obra literaria de Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer comenzó inmediatamente después de su muerte en 1870, El Libro de los gorriones da un nuevo giro a la edición de la obra becqueriana y supone la revisión de las Rimas. Los motivos son: la aparición de nuevos poemas que no se publican en la edición de 1871, su distinta ordenación y la autoría de las numerosas correcciones del texto. El subtítulo del manuscrito, Colección de proyectos, argumentos, ideas y planes de cosas diferentes que se concluirán o no según sople el viento, parece indicar el propósito del autor de realizar una obra de grandes dimensiones y darle carácter de borrador. El texto se escribe en un cuaderno comercial rayado y está fechado el 17 de junio de 1868; En 1896 fue comprado por la Biblioteca Nacional de España.ℓ ℓEnglish: ℓGustavo Adolfo Bécquer (1836-1870) is considered one of the most important figures of the Spanish Romantic and Post-Romantic movements. Writer of poetry and short stories, his best known works are the Rhymes and Legends, usually published together. He was moderately well known during his life, but it was after his death that most of his works were published. The publication of the literary work of Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer began immediately after his death in 1870. The Libro de los gorriones (Book of the Sparrows) gave a new twist to the publication of Bécquer's work and is a review of Rhymes. The reasons being: the appearance of new poems that were not published in the 1871 edition, its different order and the authorship of the numerous amendments of the text. The subtitle of the manuscript, Colección de proyectos, argumentos, ideas y planes de cosas diferentes que se concluirán o no según sople el viento (Collection of projects, arguments, ideas and plans of different things that will be included or not, depending on how the wind blows) seems to indicate the author's intention to create a large work and make it a draft copy. The text is written in a commercial, lined notebook and is dated 17 June 1868; it was bought in 1896 by the National Library of Spain. |
