Summary This image features Libra as depicted in Urania's Mirror, a set of constellation cards published in 1825. The seventh astrological sign of the zodiac, Libra is said to be ruled by the planet Venus. According to the tropical zodiac, the sun passes through Libra between September 23 and October 22. In Babylonian astronomy, Libra was known as "the scales." In ancient Greece, the sign was associated with fairness, law and civility. Interestingly, Libra is the only sign of the zodiac that does not symbolize a living creature.
