Summary |
A colony from 1620 to 1691, Plymouth, Massachusetts was the home of the Pilgrims of early America. With the help of Squanto, Chief Massasoit and the Wampanoag tribe, the Pilgrims were able to establish a large, sustainable colony with many buildings and monuments that are still standing today. Historic Plymouth contains overviews of well-known monuments like the Pilgrim Monument, where the first colonists signed the Mayflower Compact, and Pilgrim Hall, the oldest public museum in the United States. |
