The disappearance of the four year old Linnei from the farm near Fjällbacki resembles a tragic event from thirty years ago. From the same place a small girl died, whose body was soon found in a nearby lake. Two thirteen year olds confessed to the murder, then they canceled it, but the court found them guilty, although they were not put in prison as juveniles. One of them then lived quietly in Fjällbacki. The second came back years later as the famous Hollywood actress to play in the movie there, about the actress Ingrid Berman, who often spent holidays in the area. Patrik Hedström and his colleagues from the Tanumshede police station are starting to look for a relationship between both cases, although initially they do not believe in him. Erika Falck, who works on a book about crimes from years ago, helps him.
