Bruce Edward Pinch was born in 1918 at his parents' farmhouse in Collingwood Township (now the Town of The Blue Mountains), Ontario,Canada. Bruce served with the Royal Canadian Air Force between 1941-1945. While flight training and during service in the World War II Pacific Asian Theatre of War (Burma Campaign), Bruce Pinch maintained a Pilot's Flight Log Book with the first entry recorded on January 6, 1942 and the last entry recorded on April28, 1945.
