(Producer) Dorothy Brooten, PhD, RN, FAAN, is professor and chair of the Health Care of Women and Childbearing Division in the School of Nursing and director of the Graduate Program in Perinatal Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. She isalso the director of the Center for Low Birthweight Research at the university. The focus of Dr. Brooten's research is low birthweight infants and their families. Her current work involves identifying families at risk and analyzing the benefits of sending clinical nurse specialists into the homes of women at risk for delivering low birthweight infants. |
