Lord Byron anthology.

Note Occasioned by Mrs. Stowe's "The true story of Lady Byron's life".
Original document: Book.
Summary Lord Byron's rumored incest with his half-sister, Augusta Leigh, was the cause of much speculation during his lifetime and after his death. In 1869, American author Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote an article, which appeared in the Atlantic Monthly magazine, purporting to "vindicate" Lord Byron's widow by exposing evidence of the incest. That article stirred up a virtual hornets nest in literary society, as well as in popular circles. This book is a rebuttal against the accusations put forth in Stowe's article.
