Summary In Senegal the last hope against desertification and the spread of the Saharan desert is called the green wall. In less than 25 years, the country's global temperature went up by one degree and the precipitations decreased by 30%. The green wall, a 15 km wide and 700 km long forest, from Dakar to Djibouti, will try to hold back the desert.
