Summary |
This animated version of Jules Verne's classic novel tells the story of a 19th century English lord, Phileas Fogg. The tale opens with a daring bank robbery in London. Unfortunately, it appears that Mr. Fogg is responsible for the theft and quickly Scotland Yard is looking for him. Meanwhile at his club, Mr. Fogg wagers with several other lords that he will be able to circumnavigate the globe in just 80 days. His newly appointed butler, "Passepartout," joins him on the adventure. Right on their tail is a detective from Scotland Yard (Mr. Fix), but Fogg and Passepartout have a head start. Along their journey they encounter savages in the wilds of India, pioneers in America, and a host of other characters. Will Mr. Fix catch up with them or will Mr. Fogg and Passepartout make it around the world in 80 days. |
