Summary |
"Psychological Testing of Hispanics" addresses the proper use of tests with an important and rapidly growing minority group in U.S. society--Hispanics. Hispanics differ from many other underrepresented groups in our society both because they use the Spanish language in whole or in part and because they represent a variety of cultures that differ from those generally considered to be the "mainstream." The intent of this book is to focus both on the science of differential psychology and testing and on the broad issues of practice rather than to provide prescriptions for using tests with Hispanics. The study of important issues in the psychological testing of Hispanics is still in its infancy; however, this volume extends the field by identifying questions for further research and, in some cases, by proposing solutions.
