"This book is about discrimination against persons with mental illness. There is a great deal of awareness within the last few years about the impact discrimination can have on so many aspects of individuals' functioning including their mental health. A scan of the current literature yields numerous research articles, a number of which document connections between poor mental health outcomes and discrimination, across diverse groups.
