Description 1 online resource.
Series The Battle of Bunker (Breed's) Hill anthology.
BiblioBoard Core module.
Summary Often described as a perfect example of a Pyrrhic victory for the British Army, the Battle of Breed's Hill (best-known as the Battle of Bunker Hill) was a seminal moment in the early days of the American Revolution. The casualties on both sides of the engagement were high; Bunker Hill claimed the lives of several high-ranking officers commanding both the British Army and the Colonial militia. Discover one of the earliest armed conflicts of the Revolutionary War and how it has been commemorated over the years in this Anthology. Included here are contemporary engravings and drawings of the battle, as well as manuscripts from individuals who participated in the battle. This Anthology also includes a collection of teaching guides that are aligned with Common Core State Standards for use in classrooms.
