Summary |
Weather Prediction by Numerical Process was a groundbreaking text released in 1922. In it, Lewis Fry Richardson suggests that weather patterns are knowable by certain mathematical calculations. Later, computers fast enough to compute the formulas were built. In 1955, computers began completing all of the necessary formulas before the weather arrived and numerical prediction began to be widely utilized. |
