While the music of the Dan is primarily vocal, musical instruments such as calabash rattles, drums and the ki (hunters harp) may be used as accompaniement. A notable exception on this disc is orchestra on track 15, with its six ivory trumpets, each capable of playing one or two notes, and four drummers. |
