       of herself.  Marina is never satisfied.  Ada is fed up and
       trapped.  Theirs is an accidental matriarchy, as Eka's 
       beloved only son, the titular Otar, is in France.  A 
       trained doctor, he sends money home from his menial jobs 
       as an undocumented laborer.  Eka lives for his occasional 
       letters and telephone calls, so when he is killed in an 
       accident, Marina and Ada weave an intricate web of 
       deception to spare the old woman from heartbreak.  But 
       what will happen when Eka decides to visit Otar in Paris?
