Summary
Faraw!: Recounts twenty-four hours in the life of Zamiatou, a mother of three young children who is fighting for survival in a town in northeastern Mali. Her husband is too weak to work and her children are exasperated by their situation of poverty.
Haramuya: In Ouagadougou, the wealthy reside in the modern section of the city, while the poor live in poverty-stricken surburbs. Through the family of Fousseini, a Muslim firmly attached to his faith and traditions, a picture is drawn of a town caught between modernism and traditionalism.
