Chŏngyun promises herself to walk around two hours every day after her mother passes away, in order to think and to overcome her sorrow and loneliness. She becomes friends with Miru, Tan, and Myŏngsŏ, each of whom has own associations with death and loss; and braves her life with wisdom and courage in Seoul, 1980s.
