Summary The contents of this module include an array of resources for teachers to use in examining the school program and their own beliefs and practices. Some of the materials address political and social issues in that they focus attention on the needs of adolescent learners and the teachers who work with them. Other materials provide frameworks for developing effective literacy programs and integrating of literacy in the content areas at the middle school and secondary school levels.
