Summary |
Dallas housewife Lurene Hallet (Michelle Pfeiffer) has developed an intense Jackie Kennedy fixation. When the President is assassinated, Lurene vows to travel to Washington to attend his funeral, leaving her husband, her home, and her loveless life behind. On the way, she meets a black man (Dennis Haysbert) and his young daughter (Stephanie McFadden), and soon their three lives become irrevocably intertwined as they travel across a panorama of a country that is itself changing overnight. |
