Summary The history of Jewish Americans, their journey to America and the traditions they observe come to life in this program. Children learn the geography of Israel, how to say a few words in Hebrew and how to make a Sukkah, the decorated hut built as part of the Jewish harvest festival of Sukkot. They also take a trip to a kosher supermarket, visit a Jewish shop that sells books in Hebrew, menorahs and other special items, enjoy an animated folktale called The Woodcutter's Wish and sing "Yehi Shalom," a Jewish song about peace.
