Facing post-traumatic stress disorder and an archaic establishment, he spent ten years confronting-and changing-the military mental health system from within. Coining the term "Operational Stress Injury" to allow the military to see mental injury in the same light as a physical wound, Grenier founded the Operational Stress Injury Social Support program that provides help for mentally injured soldiers and veterans. Since retiring from the military in 2012, his groundbreaking approach has been adopted by civilian society. Working with the Mental Health Commission of Canada, he founded Mental Health Innovations, a social enterprise which delivers Grenier's direct "walk the talk" method to improve mental well-being in government and business."--|cProvided by publisher. 588 0 Print version record. 600 10 Grenier, Stéphane,|d1965-|xMental health. 600 10 Grenier, Stéphane,|d1965- 650 0 Soldiers|xMental health|zCanada. 650 0 Soldiers|xMental health services|zCanada. 650 0 Veterans|xMental health|zCanada. 650 0 Veterans|xMental health services|zCanada. 650 0 Traumatic neuroses. 650 0 Mental health services|zCanada. 650 0 Mental health promotion|zCanada. 650 7 HEALTH & FITNESS / Diseases / General.|2bisacsh 650 7 MEDICAL / Clinical Medicine.|2bisacsh 650 7 MEDICAL / Diseases.|2bisacsh 650 7 MEDICAL / Evidence-Based Medicine.|2bisacsh 650 7 MEDICAL / Internal Medicine.|2bisacsh 650 7 Mental health.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst01016339 650 7 Mental health promotion.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst01016497 650 7 Mental health services.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst01016498 650 7 Soldiers|xMental health.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst01125281 650 7 Traumatic neuroses.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst01155541 650 7 Veterans|xMental health.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst01165781 650 7 Veterans|xMental health services.|2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01165782 650 12 Combat Disorders. 650 12 Military Medicine. 650 12 Military Personnel. 650 12 Stress Disorders, Post-Traumatic. 651 2 Canada. 650 22 Health Care Reform. 650 22 Mental Health Services. 650 22 National Health Programs. 651 7 Canada.|2fast|0(OCoLC)fst01204310 655 0 Electronic books. 655 2 Autobiography. 655 2 Case Reports. 700 1 Montgomery, Adam,|d1982-|eauthor. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aGrenier, Stéphane, 1965-|tAfter the war. |dRegina, Saskatchewan, Canada : University of Regina Press, [2018]|z9780889775336|w(OCoLC)988300944 914 on1029293431 994 92|bGTK
