Their mischievous tendencies repeatedly get them into trouble. After a close call with the local pound, the kids end up searching for Friday, their secretly adopted dog, in an abandoned old hotel where they find several other stray dogs seeking shelter. They, along with three other local kids, begin caring for the strays. Bruce is a clever inventor whose innovative gadgets ensure top-notch care and constant entertainment for all the dogs. The police storm the hotel and take all the dogs to the pound. The kids attempt to rescue the dogs and it might just land them in separate group homes. Bernie, their social worker, will have to somehow convince the authorities, and perhaps a loving family, that the children were just doing what was right. 521 8 MPAA rating: PG; brief mild thematic elements, language and some crude humor. 538 DVD, full screen (1.33:1); Dolby Digital 5.1 surround. 546 English, dubbed French or dubbed Spanish dialogue, English, French or Spanish subtitles; closed-captioned. 650 0 Foster children|zUnited States|vDrama. 650 0 Feral dogs|zUnited States|vDrama. 650 0 Hotels|zUnited States|vDrama. 650 0 Abandoned buildings|zUnited States|vDrama. 650 0 Children as inventors|zUnited States|vDrama. 650 0 African American social workers|zUnited States|vDrama. 655 7 Comedy films.|2lcgft 655 7 Video recordings for the hearing impaired.|2lcgft 655 7 Feature films.|2lcgft 700 1 Clark, Jason. 700 1 Lowell, Jeff. 700 1 Schooley, Bob. 700 1 McCorkle, Mark. 700 1 Freudenthal, Thor. 700 1 Roberts, Emma,|d1991- 700 1 Austin, Jake T.|q(Jake Toranzo),|d1994- 700 1 Simmons, Johnny,|d1986- 700 1 Pratt, Kyla. 700 1 Gentile, Troy. 700 1 Edelstein, Eric,|d1977- 700 1 Lee, Robinne,|d1974- 700 1 Naider, Ajay. 700 1 Kudrow, Lisa. 700 1 Dillon, Kevin. 700 1 Cheadle, Don. 700 1 Duncan, Lois,|d1934-2016.|tHotel for dogs. 710 2 DreamWorks Pictures (1994-2006) 710 2 Nickelodeon Movies. 710 2 Cold Spring Pictures. 710 2 Donners' Company (Firm) 710 2 Montecito Picture Company. 710 2 Paramount Home Entertainment (Firm) 914 FARM130754 994 02|bWE3
