Disney Infinity figures and power discs are forward compatible, meaning they all work in the Toy Box in Disney Infinity 3.0 edition. However, Disney Infinity 3.0 edition figures and power discs that are labeled 3.0 only work with the Disney Infinity 3.0 edition video game software and not with the previous Disney Infinity (1.0 and 2.0) software. Disney Infinity 3.0 edition play sets only work in Disney Infinity 3.0 edition and require the Disney Infinity 3.0 edition video game software to play them. All previous Disney Infinity 1.0 and 2.0 play sets will not work in the Disney Infinity 3.0 edition video game software.
