Anne is thrilled when her old high school friend Tami Bates returns to Blue Hill for a visit. Tami is a theater producer's assistant in London and she is searching for a missing play by Hugh Bettridge, a famous playwright. Anne learns that other people are searching for the valuable manuscript and are willing to go to great lengths to get it. Meanwhile, the local drama society is putting on a play to raise money for the theater's new roof.
