A sometime Israeli spy by trade and an art restorer by preference, Gabriel Allon has an assignment to restore a painting by Raphael at the home of a millionaire banker in Zurich. The problems begin when Allon finds the banker dead in front of his Raphael, with Allon himself as the prime murder suspect.
