Summary Using the text of Paul's letters to the Christians in Rome and Galatia, the author draws out the apostle's views on justification. The word "justification" occurs frequently in Paul's writings, particularly in the Epistle to the Romans, and forms a central piece of Pauline theology. St. Paul and Justification's author states that it is difficult to adequately explain words and ideas originally set forth in another language, and therefore takes pains to explain the meaning of Greek, Latin and English words important to the concept. Familiarity with Greek or Latin is not necessary to understand this book.
