In this title, author Prideaux examines the history and practiceℓof aquatint engraving, a form of printmaking that involved copper plates etched with nitric acid. In her chapter "Caricature and Costume," she explainsℓhow aquatint was used as an artistic means of expression for the genre of political art and caricature in particular.
