TOLLES, JR., is the Director of the Museum Studies Program and<br />Professor of History and Art History at the University of Delaware. He has written and edited many books, including Resort Hotels of the Adirondacks: The Architecture of a Summer Paradise, 1850-1950 (UPNE 2003), Summer Cottages in the White Mountains: The Architecture of Leisure and Recreation, 1870 to 1930 (UPNE, 2000), The Grand Resort Hotels of the White Mountains: A Vanishing Architectural Legacy (1998), and New Hampshire Architecture: An Illustrated Guide (UPNE, 1979). He resides in Wilmington, Delaware, and Center Sandwich, New Hampshire.
