"Methods were developed and/or modified to assess the following membrane characteristics: quantity of free quaternary amine surface modifiers; the effect of membrane extractables on the pH and conductivity/Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of aqueous systems; the interfacial tension of membranes; and the liquid contact angle of membranes. These methods were then applied to characterize and compare a variety of microporous Nylon 66 membranes." |
