Summary |
This study describes how physicians experience collaborating with advanced practice nurses in the outpatient practice settings. Data was collected from five physicians through an unstructured interview. The research design for the course was phenomenological. The physicians described their experiences in collaborating with advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) as being generally positive. The description revealed six distinct themes, including precepting, freeing-up, collegiality, contributing, educating, and dependency. |
