Summary |
The behind-the-scenes story of 'An American Family', the revolutionary 1970s PBS documentary that launched a new television genre: reality TV. Pat and Bill Loud are approached by producer Craig Gilbert to make television history: to become the first "real-life" family to allow cameras into their home and their private lives. Soon enough, the cameras reveal deep-seated family issues, revolving around the marriage, the children, and the emerging ambitions of eldest son Lance. |
