Summary |
A study of self-reliant, outsider lifestyles. The filmmakers visit and interview the inhabitants of a section of undeveloped desert in northern New Mexico. Enjoying a quality of life lacking in amenities- without direct access to public utilities such as electricity, water mains, or other typical public services- the film depicts the isolated desert community as one of aggressively-individualistic attitudes, wary of any external influence or interference. |
