Summary |
In November 1999, the bishops approved Pope John Paul II's document, Ex corde ecclesiae, this Application endorsed a juridicial instrument, the Mandatum, that Catholic theologians at Catholic universities and colleges are to obtain from their local bishop. The Catholic Theological Society of America created an ad hoc committee to develop both a statement on the mandatum and a set of procedures for its implementation to be offered by the bishops. |
