| Summary |
Set in 1989, just as Soviet domination over Eastern Europe is ending, this drama tells the story of a Security Unit officer who is threatened with legal action by a dissident. In an attempt to save himself, he has the dissident's brother, Marek, beaten and left to die in the city dump. Brain surgery saves the young man's life but also results in total amnesia. Marek wanders the streets, seeking both shelter and answers to his questions. He finds refuge with an eccentric bagwoman and regains his memory. Meanwhile, his assailants pursue him, fearing he will testify against them. |
