Following the adventures of Fred, Jack, Andy and Randy, The Rover Boys novels were the first major juvenile detective stories. Published in the early 20th century, the books were written by Edward Stratemeyer under his pen name Arthur M. Winfield. Solving crimes and getting into trouble, the Rover Boys provided inspiration for Stratemeyer's later series featuring the more famous Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and Tom Swift.ℓThe Rover Boys at School was the first book in the Rover Boys series. |
