Note Original document: Article.
Summary An article written in 1878 reflecting on the life and relationship of Mary Stuart's secretary and musician, David Rizzio. Rizzio was an Italian Courtier who was eventually murdered by Lord Darnely and several co-conspirators because he was jealous and believed that he had impregnated his wife, the Queen, although modern historians believe the Queen and Rizzio had a completely platonic relationship. The article also features a drawing by David Neal depicting Mary Stuart's first viewing of Rizzio.
