Summary |
A Taiwanese production, this film begins in the 1920's in the Chinese desert. When her bridegroom is killed, the bride is forced by tradition to marry a wooden effigy of the dead man. She secretly begins a forbidden, passionate affair with a young man setting off violence and revenge. |
