In this study, conducted from November 2007 through December 2007 in three first-order streams of the Indian Ledge and Pequonnock River Valley Parks in Trumbull, Connecticut, rates of leaf litter breakdown and macroinvertebrate colonization of experiemental leaf packs were examined to assess the ecological effects of iron in stream waters at circumneutral pH. |
