In this review of a grammar textbook, certain cornerstones of English are glossed over in a clear manner. Included are statements about the difference between literary English (the highest form of the language that is the foundation for all other forms) and colloquial English (the spoken form), an explanation of nouns and pronouns, transitive versus intransitive verbs and adverbs.
