Summary The activities in this resource develop the numeracy skills and enhance basic computational skills. The activities are 'self-checking' and are appropriate for individuals and mixed ability cooperative groups. Many of the activities are open-ended with several solutions possible. All the activities require that students use a set of ten number tiles, labeled 0 through 9 in their solution. A master is enclosed in this resource for teachers to make acetate and cardboard masters. Number tiles are a manageable, engaging and fun structure that allows students at all levels to practice the skills in a problem solving context.
