Summary |
This book addresses the increasing internationalization of music copyright due to globalization and digitalization. Music publishers and authors are faced with the option of self-determined international management of their copyrights. At the same time, however, this step is fraught with major business, technical, and legal challenges and uncertainties. This book is intended to convey the basics, concepts, and technologies of international exploitation at the interface between science and practice. It is structured along the life cycle, starting with membership in collecting societies, through work and usage reports, to billing audits and complaints. |
