Summary This page from a copy of Marco Polo's work The Travels of Marco Polo describes and shows the Khan at war. Polo cited that the Khan used elephants in battle, but the artist shows the opposite, that the King's army is using elephants against that of the Khan. This particular edition of Polo's book was published during his lifetime, most likely around 1298.
