Summary |
SIPPS is a structured, supplemental phonics program designed to develop reading fluency quickly. It is an instructional program in decoding that develops word recognition strategies and skills that enable students to become independent, confident, and fluent readers. It uses explicit teaching routines that engage students in small groups with high-energy choral response and accessible text. SIPPS is designed in three levels to be used both with initial readers just learning to put letters and sounds together and with those students who are still struggling. It is developmentally-appropriate for kindergarten through third grade. |
